This is John’s second year of driving for us out of our Waconia facilities, doing a Cologne Academy route.

He said one of his favorite things about a big bus is that he is able to be a “little vocal" with the kids… He didn’t expand on that, plus forgot to ask his wife (featured below) so guessing that his voice works better that his PA mike on the bus.

In John's free time, what could be better than spending time with his wife and grandkids, fishing and last but not least; riding his Harley-Davidson Road King! I can certainly relate!!

Judy’s bio could fill a page but to condense it down to a paragraph, here goes; Judy married Curtis Koch, son of founder Victor in 1964. Her plan of being a stay at home Mom raising a family were forever changed, when Victor talked her into driving a van, then a big bus. Looking back, she wouldn’t change a thing. Judy was thinking she could retire when her son Brian took over in the 90’s… She said she has retired many times since, but to this day she still fills in as a van driver when needed, plus helps out with office paperwork.

One of her best feelings is knowing she has been a part of many students lives that she has driven starting in kindergarten and have long since graduated.

With whatever spare time she has, she spends most of it with her grandkids and you guessed it; she “enjoys hanging out at the bus garage, visiting with all the drivers”!

Debra has an interesting history with Koch Transportation. In 1997, she started driving motor coaches cross country for us, then switched to driving school buses when the fleet was sold in 2001. From 2012 - 2014 she left to work in the oil fields of North Dakota. Luckily for us, she came back in ’14 and has been driving big buses ever since! Debra’s a very independent woman and likes that no one has to watch over her shoulder in doing her job. She really likes the freedom to pick & choose what extra-curricular activities she drives for, as she does quite a few field trips and sporting events, besides leaving for her am routes at 5:30.
In the off season, she likes to do mission and road trips across the USA.
