We want to thank all our drivers and staff for being an integral part of the new website launched September 2021. Without you, we would just be another bus company. Over 80 of our 100+ great people have signed up to have their pictures taken for the site. If we haven’t taken yours yet, please be patient as only one person is doing them and being a driver himself, scheduling at all four locations has been a fun challenge. He’s done 70+ so far and will finish up once the school year starts. So be sure to to sign up if you haven’t already. Just contact Stacy@kochbus.com or use the form on the Contact page and she’ll get you the info.
We will be updating this page with more drivers pics plus organizations and groups that we support/sponsor to help school age kids with their education, extracurricular activities and nutritional well being. See links below to stay up to date with the schools we serve.
In the meantime, be sure to Like & Follow us on Facebook for daily updates.
Sue has logged many enjoyable miles driving kids from grades K-12 kids for us out of Waconia since 2003! Currently she drives 18-20 year old transition students.
She has met many, many students and takes the time to get to know them all.
In her free time, Sue likes reading, taking walks with her dog and she also coaches Special Olympics - check out the sweatshirt!
This is John’s second year of driving for us out of our Waconia facilities, doing a Cologne Academy route.
He said one of his favorite things about a big bus is that he is able to be a “little vocal" with the kids… He didn’t expand on that, plus forgot to ask his wife (featured below) so guessing that his voice works better that his PA mike on the bus.
In John's free time, what could be better than spending time with his wife and grandkids, fishing and last but not least; riding his Harley-Davidson Road King! I can certainly relate!!
Barbara just started driving a transit van in August 2022. We’re guessing that she saw how much her husband John likes it. So another husband & wife team with us out of Waconia.
Barbara said that she really enjoys her conversations with the kids as they are joyful, curious and interested in everything!
When not driving, she loves to jump on their trampoline with the granddaughters Lizzy & Josie, as well as walking her dogs and reading.
Judy’s bio could fill a page but to condense it down to a paragraph, here goes; Judy married Curtis Koch, son of founder Victor in 1964. Her plan of being a stay at home Mom raising a family were forever changed, when Victor talked her into driving a van, then a big bus. Looking back, she wouldn’t change a thing. Judy was thinking she could retire when her son Brian took over in the 90’s… She said she has retired many times since, but to this day she still fills in as a van driver when needed, plus helps out with office paperwork.
One of her best feelings is knowing she has been a part of many students lives that she has driven starting in kindergarten and have long since graduated.
With whatever spare time she has, she spends most of it with her grandkids and you guessed it; she “enjoys hanging out at the bus garage, visiting with all the drivers”!
Kelly started driving a van in August 2019 out of our Waconia facilities. Then in 2022 she trained and received her CDL license, so now drives a “big bus”!
